Javier Hernandez scored twice as Manchester United advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a tight encounter with Marseille at Old Trafford.
United took the lead after five minutes with Hernandez side footing home a Wayne Rooney cross from close range before the Mexican converted in similar fashion to double their lead.
But Marsielle, who looked dangerous from set pieces all night, got a goal back when Wes Brown converted a Gonzalez corner into his own net which made for a tense finale.
United held on to progress to the quarter finals for the the fifth successive season where the opponents will be decided in Friday's draw.
